Major recognition for TOROW's all-solid-state battery project: technologically credible, economically viable, and strategically aligned with the challenges of tomorrow
TOROW is pleased to announce the official certification of its ASSB25 project by the DERBI-CEMATER competitiveness cluster, recognized for its commitment to renewable energies and low-carbon technologies.
This certification recognizes the technological and industrial ambition of the TOROW – ASSB25 project, which aims to develop an all-solid-state sodium battery, a sovereign, sustainable, and high-performance alternative to current lithium-ion batteries. Thanks to an innovative architecture, free of critical metals, and an energy density of 430 Wh/kg, this technology paves the way for a new generation of batteries that are safer, more recyclable, and better adapted to climate and geopolitical challenges.

The project plans to move from TRL 4 to TRL 7 in three years, with the establishment of a pre-industrial pilot line by 2028. It involves a multidisciplinary team and leading academic partners (ICMMO/UPS, ICMPE/UPEC), and is fully aligned with the objectives of decarbonization, industrial relocation, and skilled job creation.
